Social Media Struggles

Imagine this: You're posting consistently about your fantastic products or business opportunity, but the engagement is minimal.

Hardly anyone is liking, commenting, or showing any interest.

It can be super frustrating, right?

You know your products are great, so why isn't anyone else seeing it?

Here's the thing—if you're noticing little to no engagement from your audience, it might be because you're speaking to the wrong people.

You might have the wrong audience.

It's like trying to sell juicy, grass-fed ribeye steaks to a neighborhood full of vegans.

They aren't going to buy, and they might even be repelled by your posts.

Your audience needs to be aligned with what you're offering.

We often talk about this, but it bears repeating.

Imagine you're going around your neighborhood with a bag of delicious steaks, but most of your neighbors are vegans.

They don't eat meat and aren't interested in your steaks, no matter how amazing they are.

It's the same with your social media posts.

If your audience isn't interested in what you're offering, they won't engage or buy.

So, what can you do about it?

Understanding Your Audience

Have you ever felt like your social media content is just not hitting the mark?

Maybe even turning people off to the point they consider unfriending you?

It’s time to take a step back and understand why this might be happening.

Not everyone is your prospect, and trying to appeal to everyone will only dilute your message.

For example, if you're in skincare, it's tempting to think everyone needs your product because everyone has skin, right?

But here's the reality: some people are perfectly happy with their supermarket brand and couldn't care less about the amazing ingredients in your product.

The key is to stop trying to convince everyone and start focusing on your perfect prospect.

This means understanding who is actively searching for what you offer.

You need to know their pains, struggles, dreams, and desires so deeply that thinking about them almost brings you to tears.

This connection is crucial for growing an audience that resonates with your content.

Imagine attracting people who crave the value you provide, just like steak lovers drool over grass-fed ribeye.

By deeply understanding and targeting your ideal audience, you'll notice a significant boost in engagement.

When you tailor your content to address the specific needs and desires of your ideal audience, they will not only engage with it but also share it, spreading your message further than ever before.

This approach turns your social media into a powerful tool for connection and growth.

Creating Valuable Content

Creating valuable content is key to engaging with your audience and growing your social media presence.

One of the hardest concepts for network marketers to grasp is that not everyone is your prospect.

It’s ingrained in our DNA to think everyone needs what we have, but that’s just not true.

The idea that your products are for everyone is a misconception.

Think of it this way: even if everyone could benefit from your product, not everyone is aware of the problem you’re solving or even looking for a solution.

Some people are content with what they have, and others don’t realize they need something different.

So, when you try to talk to everyone, you end up reaching no one.

You’re just another voice in a crowded room.

Instead, focus on talking to a specific group of people who already have an interest in what you’re offering.

When you do this, your message becomes clearer and more impactful.

It’s like a breath of fresh air because you’re finally being heard.

If you’ve built the right audience but still aren’t seeing engagement, then the issue is likely your content.

Post what your audience wants to see in their feed, not what you want to promote.

When we chase sales goals, we often post salesy, desperate content that only attracts those who already know, like, and trust us—usually close friends and family.

This approach isn’t sustainable.

You need to create content that resonates with people outside your immediate circle.

Understand their struggles, fears, and dreams.

What keeps them up at night?

What do they worry about?

When you understand your audience on this level, your content will naturally attract them.

Remember, your social media presence is about them, not you.

Every post should offer something valuable.

Even a picture of your salad can be engaging if you explain why it’s meaningful to your audience.

Maybe you made a homemade dressing that’s healthier than store-bought options, or perhaps you’re showing a part of your healthy lifestyle journey.

Whatever it is, make sure it adds value to their lives.

By consistently creating valuable content tailored to your audience’s needs and interests, you’ll build a stronger, more engaged community around your brand.

Cleaning Up Your Profile and Engaging Content

Before diving into content creation, let's clean up your profile.

Your profile is your digital business card.

If it’s cluttered with salesy posts about your company and products, it might repel rather than attract potential prospects.

Instead, make your profile inviting and valuable.

Remove posts that scream “buy my product” or “join my team”.

No one cares about your next rank; they care about how you can help them.

For example, a profile filled with personal achievements and sales pitches can push people away.

Instead, share valuable content that serves your audience.

Think about it like playing a game of ball.

If your prospects can find all the information they need about your products on Google or Amazon, they have the control.

But if your profile is packed with helpful information, tips, and engaging content, they’ll reach out to you directly.

This way, you maintain control and build a relationship.

Make sure your profile picture is professional.

While we all love seeing pictures of dogs and kids, they shouldn’t be in your profile picture.

People need to see your face to build a connection.

Think of it like trying to recognize someone at a high school reunion – it’s hard if their profile picture is of their dog!

Once your profile is clean and professional, focus on growing the right audience and creating valuable content for them.

Share educational tips, personal stories, and experiences.

Make your content about them, not you.

Show them how you can solve their problems and add value to their lives.

Promote your products in a non-salesy, non-hypey way by focusing on benefits rather than features.

Remember, the goal is to look like the friendly, helpful person next door, not a billboard for your company.

Before you post, ask yourself if it seems salesy.

If it does, rethink it.

Promote yourself as a person of value who genuinely cares about serving your audience.

Cleaning up your profile and creating engaging content is not just about making sales.

It’s about building relationships, adding value, and serving others.

When you do this, your audience will keep coming back for more, eager to see what you post next.
