Here are 3 network marketing hacks to help you stay consistent in your business even when you have zero motivation.
Motivation VS Discipline
Motivation is great, but it never lasts. Have you ever felt this?
You've been to an event for your network marketing business or you've had a team training and you are all motivated, and you think I'm going to start seeing the results that I want to see.
And then before you know it, that motivation fades.
We’ve had so many students ask how they can become more motivated. Motivation is a state of being, being motivated is a feeling. It is a strong reason to act, to take action, but no one is motivated all the time!
And often people aren't even motivated most of the time.
So the difference between those people who take risks and achieve their goals and those who don't is discipline.
Growing a network marketing business is going to take time, and you may lose that motivation. And this even applies to the people who see the results or the people who achieve their goals.
In order to be disciplined in your life, you need to take action. And so discipline means that you take that action whether you feel like it or not. You take that action whether you're motivated or not!
Too often network marketers treat their business as a hobby. They don't treat it as a real business. They don't treat it as the thing that is going to pay them at the end of the month.
Discipline is what is needed to help you show up for your business consistently, and these 3 network marketing hacks can help you achieve this!
Hack One: Create a DMO
A DMO (Daily Method of Operation) can help show you what income producing activities you need to be doing every day in order to move the needle forward in your network marketing business.
And this doesn't mean scrolling through Facebook or TikTok trying to find motivation.
Think about what your income producing activities are.
Is it growing your audience to make sure that you're getting new eyes on your content?
How about putting content out there?
Or maybe it is doing a live video or putting your stories out in order to put yourself out there?
You always need to be engaging with your audience!
Make sure that you are going live and giving love on social media, that you're building those relationships, that you're engaging on social media so that your audience is seeing the content that you're putting out there.
Understand what your content buckets are and put content out there that is creating curiosity around the benefits of your products or what it might look like to work with you. Let people know that you're an entrepreneur, let people know that you have an expanding network marketing business!
So a DMO can help you keep track of your ability to grow your audience and engage with that audience. It can make sure that you're getting the content out there, you are promoting your business, and that you are asking for what you want and getting into conversations.
Have a DMO that shows you all your income producing activity!
Hack Two: Schedule Time in your Calendar
Whether you have a paper calendar or a Google Calendar, make sure that you have scheduled everything into it.
What are your non-negotiables? Make sure that you put those non-negotiables in.
If you have a 9-5 job, that goes into your calendar.
Do you exercise every day? That goes in your calendar.
You may want to have family time every day. That goes in your calendar.
All the non-negotiables, the things that you want to make sure that you do every single day, always make time for them! It could be a job, exercise, family time, time with the kids. Maybe it’s making sure that you are fetching your kids from school. Put it in your calendar!
When you know what your DMO looks like, schedule that into your day and honor your calendar.
When you are working, remove all distractions so that your phone doesn't ping and you get distracted by the message that came in, or the email that just came in, or somebody's just gone live. Distractions only decrease your time slot to build your network marketing business until it has all but disappeared.
So make sure that you're removing all distractions when you're working and get into action.
Hack Three: Evaluate
Evaluate every single day.
This can effectively make sure that you are recognizing what you're doing.
For example, you could begin to recognise three things that are working right now in your network marketing business, in your day, in being disciplined. Three things that are working.
So what three things are working for you? Make sure that you find things every day that are working.
What two things are not working for you? Maybe you didn't grow your audience today? Or you didn’t do that live video you promised you would do?
Change one thing and make sure you're evaluating your business, your day, your life every single day.
Figure out where you're getting distracted. Are you waking up and looking at your phone and two hours later you're still stuck on TikTok? Or maybe you find yourself stuck watching reels until you've done nothing all morning?
So evaluate what's working, what's not working, and what you might do differently and figure out where you're getting distracted.
And stop kidding yourself into thinking that you just need more motivation. You don't need more motivation, you need more discipline! Follow these 3 network marketing hacks and you can maintain this discipline.
