All right. Hello everyone. My name is Kat Coff. I’m one of the founders of Bebo Influencers, a coaching community for marketers, home entrepreneurs. And today we are gonna talk about holiday marketing, uh, who can relate to what I’m about to say that during the month of December, majority of marketers actually slow down their business, or even they stop completely, they pause until January. And what happens when you do that? It’s very hard to get momentum if you completely pause. So we highly recommend you don’t do that. We recommend that you keep the lights on in your business, even when everyone else slowing down. And we’ve done so many selling opportunities and recruiting opportunities and proved time after time that nobody’s buying anything or not joining any companies in December. It’s absolute BS . So this is completely true. So this is excuse that we buy because other people, uh, slow down, but it doesn’t mean that you have to slow down.
So today, I’m gonna give you three incredible marketing hacks that work during holidays like hotcakes. So hots, it’s my favorite expression. That means that it works. I don’t know, like charm. So I, although some of the excuses that people come up with are sort of valid, but excuses are excuses. And people usually say, well, I don’t have time, right? I don’t have money. Um, nobody, nobody’s buying anything. This is one of my favorite excuse that I like to bust that myth. This is not true. If you telling yourself that nobody’s buying during holidays, uh, think about it. Are you not buying anything during December? Is your neighbor not buying anything during December? People spend more money during months of December, more than any month of the year. And the problem is, it’s not that they’re not buying anything. The problem is they’re not buying anything from you, .
So today we’re gonna talk about the strategies, how to have people buy stuff from you and be excited about buying stuff from you instead of, you know, Walmart or Target or Amazon, because your products are amazing and people have to know about it even during month of December and buy those things during this month. So today, I’m gonna share with you some incredible strategies. This is gonna help you to sell a ton of your stuff even during month of December, and you actually should have more sales just because a lot of people, all the people are buying more than usual. You just need to know how to have them buy from you. So get ready, , get ready. So first you have to understand how holiday marketing works. So even, for example, during regular months, you were selling your products using specific strategies, right? And they might not work during months of December because people’s mindset switches during this months.
And people are not buying things for themselves. Like, because we try to save money, we cut back on spending on ourselves, but we spend more on other people. So you have to flip your marketing and let your potential customers know that your products are the best gift ideas for other people. How cool is that? Right? Whatever is that you sell in skincare, uh, health and wellness, travel, whatever it is, even if people not gonna want to buy it for themselves because they cut back, uh, on spendings and try trying to save money, they can buy it for other people. So imagine, take one of your products, right? The the one that is like the best seller, and figure out how you can present that product as an idea to buy for someone else. You almost like to have to paint the picture for that person.
So let’s say maybe it’s some kind of energy boosting pills. So just picture how that particular product, whatever it is, how it can excite the person that they’re shopping for. Maybe it’s their mom or dad, right? Their older, they don’t have enough energy, they don’t wanna drink coffee or whatnot. Maybe it’s for a younger adult who is in college or just start a new job. Maybe it’s for, um, middle-aged. I call myself middle-aged person, , people who, uh, run on coffee, but that’s only so much coffee. You can drink a day, right? And it’s not healthy. Educate people and paint the picture how the person that this product can be intended for, how that person can be excited about it. Maybe it’s really great stocking stuffer. Maybe it’s really great surprise, something they mentioned to you three months ago, right? Oh my gosh, I’m looking for something that can help me with whatever, uh, more energy , uh, saving money or whatnot, right?
And you listened and you gave exactly what they want, right? So think about it, how you can market your products, not that something people buy for themselves, but that they will buy for other people. So another marketing hack, it’s holiday gift guides. Oh my God, I actually back in the day, created a PDF for people as a holiday gift guide, and I put my products as one of the gifts ideas. You just have to position again, your products as they would buy for someone else, right? How your products can be used for men. You know how your products can be used for kids, how your products can be used for women, whoever your products are for included for the gift guides, ideas. And you can post different guides in different days and includes different of your products in this holiday shopping guide. So, another incredible idea I’m gonna give you, you need to start thinking when you, uh, promote your products, like your potential customers, right?
And I already told you, they’re not thinking about themselves, they’re thinking about other people. But when it comes to think about themselves, what is it they want during holiday season? They want to save time. They want to save money. They want not to spend time in traffic. In my town, we have one intersection, whereas Target and Walmart is, is the busiest intersection during the whole month of December. And if you go there, prepare to be, uh, at the stoplight, especially during weekends, at least 15, 20 minutes at each stoplight, this is insane, right? People don’t wanna be stuck in traffic. They wanna save time and money. And also they don’t wanna have a headache of not knowing what to buy. So can you give it to them? Can you save them time? Can you save them money? Can you save them the headache of staying, staying in traffic?
You just have to give them that idea, right? Just make a post and talk to them. Talk like you know what’s going on inside of their heads. Hey, it’s a weekend. I know you’re probably about to hit the stores and spend hours and hours, you know, especially if you don’t know what to buy. Here’s my holiday gift guide or ideas that you can use, blah, blah, blah, blah. Or even list some products and ideas that they can buy. So it’s incredible how much, you know, how many ideas we can come up with if we start thinking like our potential buyers. So this is my advice. Stop thinking like regular person during all other months and start thinking, what is your potential buyer is doing and thinking about right now, and what is it that they want? So in my final holiday marketing hack, everyone expects discounts during the time of December. And basically they expect pretty bows and bundles and deals on saving money. And if you are not Gonna give them those deals, they’re gonna be looking for them somewhere else because there’s plenty of merchants who will give them the deal. So make it look like you’ve given them that best deal of their time.
It’s the best time to buy your stuff, right? And maybe your company is not very generous on those promotions or whatever. Come up with your own. Maybe you’re gonna give them a free something small. If they spend certain amount, maybe you’re gonna give them a bigger discount if they spend certain amount. Make them exciting about spending money with you. And, uh, there is a phrase in marketing then I laugh about when I see, but it works all the time. The more you spend, the more you save, right? It’s a total, um, what do you call it? It’s not true, right? , but it works for our mindset. We think if we spend more, we save more.
But in reality, if we spend more, we just spend more, right? But we always want to think, will I save more if I spend more and let them, right? Let them save more or let them think that they’re gonna save more and give them, of course, those discount on deceive people. But what I’m trying to say that is the best marketing hack to let people know if you spend more, you save more or you get more. In reality, if you want to get more, you have to spend more, right? That’s not really the case, but that’s how our brain is wired, right? So take advantage of the marketing, um, possibilities that are available for us during month on December. And I hope you are not gonna hold yourself back thinking, oh my gosh, nobody’s buying anything in December. That’s the excuse you came up. That’s the story that you made.
And you are buying more than, uh, average, right? During month on December. So is everyone else. So I hope that some of these ideas that I gave you going to help you to have your potential customers to buy from you. And we probably should sum it up. So the first idea was actually I wanted to, I feel like I gave you more than three. So the last one was, you have to, uh, give them discounts and, and deals and make them feel like they’re important and they getting the best deal of their life. Second idea that I shared was holiday gift guides. Like, uh, people want to save brain power. They don’t even wanna think about what to buy, uh, to, for their family or friends, and everyone’s in between, right? Give them those ideas. And also, uh, idea number three, think like them. They want to save time, money, and, uh, they don’t wanna sit in traffic.
They want easy transactions. They wanna check from their list and move on to the next one. So give it to them. Help them to have a great and easy shopping experience. And number one, it was that, uh, you have to present your products. Learn how to market your products as ideas to buy for other people, not for themselves. Because that’s what we humans tend to do, to cut back on spending on ourselves and buy for other people. But also, on top of that, you can tell people while you taking care and buying presence of for all other people that you know, can you take care of yourself. I give you permission to take care of yourself, and you gonna need to pamper yourself after, you know, long hours of shopping and driving, you’re gonna need, you know, this essential oil or this cream or this, um, energy boosting thing, or whatever it is, right?
You still can tell people, don’t forget to take care of yourself and reward yourself. And also, also it’s kind of like investment in yourself. So this is my holiday tips for you. I hope it’s gonna help you not to completely stop your business in the months of December. Get excited because this is a time when people celebrate and spend money.
