New Social Media Platforms You Should Be Using For Your Business

Imagine running out of people to talk to. That sounds impossible, right?

Well, that was me four years ago. It wasn’t until I figured out how to build online effectively using social media, then everything changed.

If you are spending all your time talking to the same people every day, you are not growing your network. And if you aren't growing your network, you are going to burn through it and be left with no one to talk to.

When you are an entrepreneur and you are building your business, the number one thing to focus on is growing your network of people.



When it comes down to social media, there is always going to be some kind of new platform.

I have been testing out these new platforms and I am going to share with you what I found. 

GROWING YOUR AUDIENCE ON TIK TOK

One of the things I love about Tik Tok is that you can actually niche down. Find something you want to talk about and run with it. 

The great part is, it doesn't have to have anything to do with your business. 

The main thing here is to grow your network and brand around you. 

And you get to be creative. Find the trending sounds and spin it into something that you like to do. 

Once you have built your audience, and they get to know, like, and trust you. Then you can sprinkle in some business stuff. 

USING HASHTAGS ON TIK TOK

Hashtags on Tik Tok are completely different then on Instagram. 

Instagram uses hashtags so you can search content. 

Tik Tok uses hashtags to reach that certain audience. Your hashtag is telling Tik Tok who to put your video in front of

Because of that you can reach multiple audiences just by changing up the hashtags. 

You can create 5 videos a day and they aren't going to compete with each other because you are reaching different audiences based on the hashtag you added. 

Unlike Facebook, if you post too close together it competes with one another and hurts your algorithm

UNLIMITED REACH

If you are consistent enough posting, at least once a day, you can go from zero followers to thousands of followers

You can literally grow your audience in 30 days.  

That is faster than any other platform out there. There is no maximum amount of followers you can have, your reach is unlimited. 

You have to put yourself out there, you have to get yourself in front of people, and this is the best platform for that. 

Tik Tok is like the wild wild west, people are still trying to figure it out. So the time to jump is right now

REPURPOSE YOUR VIDEOS IN MULTIPLE WAYS

This is what I love about technology and digital marketing, you don't need to create more work all the time. 

You can take a Tik Tok and repurpose it into an Instagram or Facebook Reel, you can add it to your stories.

Now, we talked about Tik Tok, but another way to use your videos that is new, is YouTube Shorts. 

You can take your content and put it in YouTube Shorts, and grow your audience on that platform. 

Because that is the whole point, right? 

If you are not already on it, go get your profile set up. And if you are on it, start pumping out some videos. Get consistent.

Hey there, Adrian Lynn Dean here. And on today’s episode, I’m gonna be talking about the top social media platforms that you should be using right now. Okay. So when it comes down to social media, there’s always going to be kind of a new platform coming out, right. It’s technology it’s always. Okay. But I’ve personally been testing some of these new platforms and I’ve had great results with them. And so here’s the thing. When you are, uh, an entrepreneur and you are building your business, um, the number one thing to focus on is growing your network of people. If you are spending your time talking to the same people every single day, okay. You’re not growing your network, you’re gonna burn through that network. And then you’re gonna be left with nobody to talk to. Okay. That was me, uh, four years ago, before I started building online, using social, uh, the effective way, um, where I was not plastering my stuff all over my Facebook timeline.

So if you want to grow your audience rapidly, okay. And I’m not talking over the course of, you know, two and three years, I’m talking within 30 days, 60 days, 90 days. Okay. Whatever it is that you’re gonna commit to, you can absolutely do that. Okay. And the two platforms that I’m gonna be talking about today are TikTok and YouTube shorts because they kind of are gonna work together okay. Where you could use both platforms. Um, and by just doing one, one, the job of one, right? So let’s focus on TikTok. Okay. So what I love about TikTok is that you can actually niche down, okay. Find something, uh, that is you, that you want to run with. Right? What, and it doesn’t have to have anything to do with business. That’s the great part. You are going to weave those things in, uh, into what you’re posting on TikTok.

The main thing here is to grow that network and brand around you. So this is where you get to get creative. You get to find those trend videos. Those trending sounds, spin it into something that you like to do. Okay. And in between, you’re gonna sprinkle your business stuff in there. Okay. And when I say in between, it is, it is gonna be fewer things, right. But you’re here. Your first number one goal is to grow that network, grow audience. And then once that audience and network has grown, then you can put more and more of those things in there because people are already liking you, knowing you, trusting you. So then when they see that you’re also doing this right, and that you’re using these type of products, okay. They’re already butt in. Okay. Because they started following you out of the get go, whether it was a video about your dogs, right.

And TikTok about your dogs, or, you know, my husband and I like to do husband and wife, humor stuff a lot where I make fun of, you know, some of those things that the husbands do. Right. Um, and people love it. Okay. So I love that you can reach multiple audiences. Okay. And how you do that is through the hashtags. So hashtags are different on TikTok, then they are on Instagram. Okay. Instagram uses hashtag so you can search content. Okay. TikTok has hashtags because those are pockets of audiences. So that is who you are telling TikTok to put your videos in front of. So I, uh, put, do a video, okay. On maybe something about my husband doing the laundry, uh, right. And I make this sound and it’s like, wow, that’s, that’s really attractive. Like I find that attractive. Right. Cause then I don’t have to do it.

Um, and I use a hashtag that says, couples humor, it’s gonna come up and show me all the hashtags around that. Right. That could be a billion, a million people, right. Thousands, hundreds of thousands. And by using that one, I’m now getting that video in front of all those eyeballs. Okay. So I would also add in a couple other hashtags. So now I’m getting that video in different areas and in front of different people on TikTok. And the cool thing is, is you can create 1, 2, 3, a day and they’re not gonna compete with one another. Like what happen over in Facebook, right? Where you make up posts and maybe you make a post too close together and it competes with one another. Right. And it hurts your algorithm. This is not going to do that because you are sending it to different places through your hashtags.

And it’s getting in front of different eyeballs. Okay. You can literally grow your audience to within 30 days. All right. Um, where literally, if you get, uh, consistent enough posting, at least once a day, you can go from zero to thousands of followers in 30 days. That’s faster than I’ve seen on any other platform out there. Okay. That’s faster than what can happen on Facebook. I mean, you are maxed out at 5,000 people on Facebook. Yes. More people can follow you. Right. Okay. But you’re really maxed out on TikTok. You are not maxed out to anything. You can have millions and millions of followers. Okay. That’s the really cool part is that there’s no ceiling, like there is on Facebook. Okay. I love that. You can have fun and it feels like you are having fun again in your business because this is marketing. Right.

You’ve gotta get yourself out there. You’ve gotta get yourself in front of new people. Okay. This is the best platform to you that right now, and the cool part is, is you are, it’s still on the up and up of this trend. Okay. So remember when Facebook came out, right. And everyone was jumping on and, and things were working and what work, what, what people are doing now, uh, sorry, what works now versus what works then is not the same. Okay. I cannot do the same things on Facebook. Now that worked three and four years ago. So TikTok is that happening right now? It is like the wild, wild west. Okay. People are still trying to figure it out. So the time to jump on is right now. Okay. And another thing that I love, and this is where I’m gonna tie in the YouTube shorts.

Okay. Is repurposing your videos. Okay. You can take one video that you’ve created and maybe it took you 10 minutes to do it. Maybe if you’re brand new, it’s taking you 20, 30, K 45 minutes. That’s just the growing pans of TikTok and learning a new platform. Okay. But you can take that video and you can put it into your other areas or, or platforms that you’re on. Okay. YouTube shorts. This is taking your TikTok videos and uploading them into your YouTube channel. If you are currently doing YouTube as if people are scrolling through their own version of TikTok, um, I asked my kids, I said, how are y’all seeing these TikTok trends? And what’s happening if you are not on TikTok, because it’s not on your phone. I did not give you permission. You’re not on TikTok. They said, mom, it’s in YouTube. They’re called YouTube shorts.

So I did some research, right? And, oh my goodness, it’s taking one piece of work. This is what I love right now, especially about technology being digital marketing, you know, uh, social marketing, using all the platforms is we don’t need to create more work for ourself and constantly be recreating new stuff all the time. You can take that one TikTok video and all. So put it in your stories on Facebook, put it into your IG reels, uh, and your, your Facebook reels. Okay. You are, uh, repurposing. I love that. I can take a video that I did months ago about my product, rerun it in my stories. People do not remember what you’ve posted. I, especially since stories are only around for 24 hours and then they go goodbye. Okay. And I can get customers every single time I run that. Okay. Now, now that doesn’t mean I’m gonna run it every single day.

Right. But I can still use that content that I did to get myself customers and I can put it on all the platforms that I’m on. So, uh, when it comes down to new social media platforms, I know, right. Maybe you’re sitting back thinking everyone’s doing this, everyone’s doing that. It has now been around long enough and I’ve personally tested it. And so have other, uh, leaders, uh, my business partners that are absolutely crushing it right now on TikTok and are brand new to the platform. Okay. It’s not like we’ve been on there for a year. Okay. Um, testing different things. And this is the thing right now. Okay. Now I’m not saying to go abandon what you’re doing on your other platforms, but go over there, get your profile set up. If you’re not already on it, if you are on it. Okay. Start pumping out some videos, get consistent.

Okay. And start growing that network. It is the fastest way for, for you to grow your audience right now on social media, there are more users. K TikTok is the number one platform. It is outperforming IG, IG reals, Snapchat, uh, Facebook. Okay. It is the place to be and okay. It’s fun. It’s funny. I literally sit there and scroll through. Okay. When I have my plan time of looking at TikTok and doing my research, uh, and I just die laughing. Right. So it makes me feel like I’m building my business. I’m having fun building my business again. And not only that I am growing my network by thousands every single day, you could get one video, go viral and boom, all of a sudden, okay, you have one video go viral.
