They want their team to just continuously grow, everybody to rank advance and make money with no problems.

You're never going to go without problems.

But let's talk about how you get there.

Building Actively on Social Media: Reaching Out

Have you ever fallen into management mode?

We've been in management mode more than once, and once you hit management mode, guess what happens?

Your team stops working.

They don't want a boss; they want somebody who is on the same level as them! They want to lock arms and work together.

So, the first tip on how to gain momentum in your network marketing business is that you go first.

You need to evaluate, are you in management mode?

And if you're in management mode, you need to get out of it!

To do this, you need to schedule active and passive ways of building your business on social media.

An active way would be having people on social media that already know, like, and trust you. You would reach out to one of these people with messages like…

“Hey, I'm working on this incredible project. I would love to work with you and I would love to jump on a zoom and see what that might look like. Does Friday or Saturday work for you?”

You are actively building your business when you jump on that call by sharing a little bit about the business.

But we don't want you to be the tool, we only want you to share a little bit about your story, what you are excited about, and then ask them if it sounds like something they would want more information about.

If they do, you send them to the tool! Don't become the tool.

Make sure you are teaching people and you are moving forward in a duplicable way.

So go first then evaluate, get an active way to build your business.

Building Actively on Social Media: Schedule Events for your Business

The other active way that you can build your business is schedule times when you are holding your own events for your business.

A couple of years ago when we were actively enrolling and we were actively bringing customers, we were in this place where our team was not really in momentum.

How do you get that back?

What you can do is schedule time in your calendar and create a customer event where you talk about the business, and get customers and people to come in.

We call them Customer Blitz.

The fastest way to revive people in your business is to bring new blood in.

So, schedule a time for those personal events.

You can also schedule a specific sneak peek.

Pick 30 to 50 people and love on them on social media. Then invite them to the event and share a little bit about the business, your story and what you love.

Then follow up with people.

This will start to build momentum as you start to enroll more people. And your team will start doing what you are doing!

But the biggest mistake that you can ever make is falling into management mode and stop personally building your business!

Consistency is Key

You need to get consistent.

Get consistent on social media with your content, live videos, serving other people.

You can create different content that you post on different days, making sure that the content fits what you're doing.

So if you're in the financial industry, one day your post could be education on financial industry. Another day could be hobbies.

You need content pillars like education, motivation, inspiration and lifestyle! People need to see the behind the scenes of your life.

You also need to get consistent in your follow up.

The money is made in the follow up.

You can do all the work, but if you never follow up with people, you're not going to have that momentum growing.

And one of the things that you can do is teach your team members how to do this. If you have a small, growing team of new people coming in, you can hold their hand and follow up with them at the same time.

Teach them how to do that on social media.

Processes and Comparitis

To gain momentum in your network marketing business, you need to understand a process.

When somebody enrolls in your team, what do they do next?

Get them in, get them excited, get them believing!

And put that down on a Google doc.

Have it in a Facebook group.

But it's got to be simple. People are looking for simple, quick, and fun.

Hey, welcome to today’s episode. My name is Brandy Shaver for a meeting for the first time, and I’m one of the founders of Beach Boss Influencers. And what we do is teach network marketers, people that want to build their businesses on social media, how to do that using social media with leverage and automation. And today we’re talking about how to gain momentum in your network marketing business. Now, this is one I get asked a lot because everybody wants momentum, right? They want where their team is just growing and it’s awesome and it’s fun, and everybody’s rank advancing and everybody’s making money and everybody’s has a subscription order and there’s no problems, right? Well, let’s talk about how you get there. Well, you’re never going to go without problems. Let’s be honest. You’re working with people. But let’s talk about how you get there. Number one is you go first.

So what I want you to do, if you are watching this live, let me know if you’re watching this on the replay drop, hashtag replay. But what I want you to do is I want you to let me know down below if you have ever fallen into management mode. I’ve been in management mode more than once. And once you hit management mode, guess what happens? Your team stops working. They don’t want a boss, they want somebody that is on the same level as they are, right? They wanna lock arms and work together. So the first tip on how to gain momentum in your network marketing business is that you go first. So you need to evaluate, are you in management mode? And if you’re in management mode, there’s a problem and you need to get outta management mode. And guess how you get outta management mode?

Number one, you schedule active and passive ways of building your business on social media. Now what do I mean by that? Okay, well, an active way would be you obviously have people on social media, you know, that already know, like, and trust you, okay? And an active way would be reach out to that person and say, Hey, you know what? I’m working on this incredible project. I would love to work with you and I would love to jump on a zoom and see what that might look like. Does Friday or Saturday wor work for you? Right? So you are actively building your business. When you jump on that call, you are going to share a little bit about the business. Now, I don’t want you to be the tool, I don’t want you to present here. I don’t want you to go through slides and all that bs, right?

I want you to share a little bit about your story, what you are excited about, and then ask them, does this sound like something you want more information about? And then if they do, you send them to the tool, okay? Point at tools. You don’t become the tool. One of my mentors taught me this a long time ago because I was the tool. You can’t duplicate yourself if you are the tool, okay? So make sure you are teaching people and you are moving forward in a duplicatable, duplicable way. Okay? I always say duplicatable, but people tell me it’s not a real word. So it’s duplicable, duplicable, all right? So that’s first gotta go first. Evaluate, get an active way to, to build your business. Now the other active way that you can build your business is schedule times where you are doing your own events for your business.

Now, a couple years ago when I was actively enrolling and I was actively bringing customers, I was in this place where I was like, you know what? Our team is not really in momentum and it kind of sucks. Like, we’re kind of just like sucking error and nothing’s happening. And I was like, this is lame. Like, I don’t like this. I like it when it’s fast-paced, right? And it’s fun and you’re working with the downline and everybody’s going and blah, blah, blah. Well, how do you get that back? Well, what you do is you have scheduled time in your calendar, and I personally picked twice a month once for a way that I do, um, a customer like enroll in masses, like a customer event where I talk about the business, get customers and people that come in. It was like, um, it’s like an event where I invite people and I, I have, you know, a, a way of doing that.

If we call them customer blitz, blitzes, that’s what we call them. And I started doing them for myself instead of worrying about my team, I was like, you know what? It’s time I build my own business cuz I’m in management mode. And the fastest way to revive people in your business is to bring new blood in. Okay? Um, if you think about zombies, right? They all go crazy when they have someone new to eat. , if you really wanna think about, uh, you know, the zombie movies, right? So you bring new blood in, it’s really hard to bring, um, the dead back to life, right? So bringing new blood in keeps your your team alive. So schedule a time for those personal events. Um, a customer blitz and then a specific sneak peek. Now on my sneak peaks, um, I just actually invite people to those.

I’d pick 30 to 50 people I would love on them in social media. I would invite them to the event, and then I would, um, share a little bit about the business, my story and what I love. And then, you know, I would follow up with people. And that’s how I started to build momentum because I started to re not re-enroll, but enroll more people into my business. Then my team started doing what I was doing, right? And then I started doing it for my team and myself. But the biggest mistake that you can ever make is following into management mode and stop personally building your business, okay? I don’t think there’s a time that you can stop building your personal business and tell you’re so far at the top, you’re making so much money that you’re like, uh, Schiff, I lost a hundred dollars or a hundred thousand dollars this month.

Probably wouldn’t bother me, right? That’s when you can probably stop building your personal business. All right? Next piece of this is to get consistent. This is one of the biggest things I see is get consistent on social media with your content, with, um, live video serving other people. Get consistent. And it doesn’t have to be difficult, okay? You, uh, wanna create different things that you post on different days and you want to make sure that that content fits what you’re doing. So if you’re in the financial industry, one of those days that you’re posting, it could be education on financial industry. Uh, one of the days could be hobbies, right? Maybe you play golf or garden or you know, you have pugs or whatever. Uh, maybe you have kids, maybe you work a full-time job. But education, motivation, inspiration and lifestyle, people need to see the backend of your life.
They need to see, you know, what if Brandy can do this? So can I, okay, if Kelly can do this, so can I, if John can do this, so can I, right? Like they need to see that. So they’ll, the last two is get consistent in your follow up. Okay? For, for real. This is where people drop the ball. The money is made in the follow up. Like literally you can present and present and present and present and present and present. If you never follow up with people, you’re not gonna have that momentum growing. And one of the things that I like to do, I like to teach my team members. Um, once I have, you know, a new, maybe a new small team growing of new personal people coming in, I will hold their hand and I will follow up for them with them at the same time.

And so I teach them how to do that on social media. We do that on, in Messenger. Um, Voxer, we do that, um, in dms, in, in Instagram sometimes, right? I’ll put the people in like a three-way message. I’m jumping on zooms with my team members. I’m teaching them how to do this. I’m doing it with them. And that’s teaching them how to do the system. Okay? Now the last thing you wanna do to gain momentum in your network marketing business is you really want to understand a process. Okay? When somebody enrolls in your team, what do they do next? And if you’re all willy-nilly, like, oh, I don’t know, you know, let’s jump on a call and talk about it and talk about your goals for 30 days. Nobody cares. You gotta have a process. Get ’em in, get ’em excited, get ’em belief, right?

And put that down on a Google doc. Show them, have it in a Facebook group. Whatever you gotta do to create that momentum in your business, it’s gotta be simple. People are looking for simple, quick, and fun. Okay? So, um, and then the last thing, and we talked about this throughout, is don’t go into management mode. It will kill your business. Oh, and one other bonus tip, stop with Comparitis. Okay? I know you’re gonna see people come into your business. You’re gonna see people that enroll below you, above you cross line wherever, and you’re gonna see them cross stage at a rank that you’re like, what the heck? Like, I’ve been here longer, I’ve been working my tail off, I’ve been doing all these things, right? And these people are gonna cross stage before you and make more money than you. And the best way to fast, best, and fastest way to kill your business is to compare yourself to them. Compare yourself to where you were yesterday and remind yourself that their page 20 might be your page 200. Okay? They’ve spent time in their life building up that network. They’ve spent time in their life learning those skills. And if you’re in a place where you don’t have the skills, you’re brand new, you don’t know what you’re doing, or maybe you know, you’ve been doing network marketing forever and you’re like, I just gotta figure out how to do online. Like I’m sick of traveling all over the world. I’m sick of doing meetings, I’m sick of going somewhere and nobody’s showing up. I’m sick of spending all this money on flights, then you need to figure out social media where you can stay home, build your business from home, create an empire from your living room, from your office, from your bathroom, from your closet, from wherever you are in your house.
