The #1 Thing You Can Do Right Now To Find Balance This Holiday Season

Cari Higham

Are you tired, exhausted, and wanting to take the two weeks off from your Network Marketing Business to spend it with your family?

“Don't stop hustling! You'll miss momentum!”

Well intentioned Network Marketing leaders tell you this because they want to keep you motivated and pushing into the new year. There's nothing wrong with this advice other than you're trying to juggle it all during this time.

Kids are home, parties are in full swing, you're probably exhausted and ready for a break with the people you love.

We understand, and so here is our number one tip to find balance during the holidays so you can continue to build momentum in your Network Marketing business and NOT miss out on this special time with those that matter to you most!

Finding a Balance

It is the last two weeks of the year, there are work parties, family parties, your kids are getting out of school. There's a lot of time that you want to spend with those that you love.

But if you're having to focus on two, three hours a day building your Network Marketing business, sometimes it's not always doable.

One of the things that we used to do in growing our businesses when it would come to this time of the year, we would always shut down and take a break. We wanted to spend time with our families.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

We did find ourselves having to rebuild momentum when we started growing our businesses again in January.

And we had leaders that we looked up to at the time saying “don't stop working your business”.

“Don't stop hustling. You're gonna miss momentum”.

“Keep sending the copy and paste messages. You better be messaging 50 people a day”.

And honestly, we started to get to this point. We missed some Christmas parties. We missed some time with our families.

And this started making us resent our businesses. Our families started to resent our businesses.

And we hear this happening all the time.

You have this dream, you have the desire to build this thing to the top, but how do you find the balance and still build the momentum without sacrificing the parties or time with your family?

We started doing this one thing, and this one thing has helped us to continue to be consistent in our businesses. And consistency is really that key to growing and building momentum.

A Skeletal DMO: What Is It?

The number one thing that we focus on, what we've started teaching our team to focus on so that they don't miss out on these precious moments, is having a skeletal DMO.

What exactly is a skeletal DMO?

A DMO is your daily mode of operation or your daily method of operation, and these are the things that you're doing every single day to consistently to grow your Network Marketing business.

We started implementing a skeletal DMO for these times of the year when we are not able to be 100% focused and put 40 hours a week into our businesses.

What are you doing consistently each week? What are the non-negotiables?

These are what you’re going to focus on.

One of the things that is in our skeletal DMO is we need a way to focus on growing an audience. So that might be working on ads, it might be working on copy, it is going to be working on things that are going to get new eyeballs on us.

This could be done by connecting with people in groups. It could be doing a Reel or a TikTok.

Little micro content that can be pushed out to new people.

It doesn't even necessarily have to be every day. Maybe on Monday you’re going to focus getting everything that you need done to grow your audience that week. You could film some new TikToks or film some Facebook lives. You could maybe draft a couple posts that you're going to be doing in some Facebook groups.

What are you doing to grow your audience?

A Skeletal DMO: Engage With Your Audience

Make sure in your skeletal DMO that you’re doing at least one or two things each day, or a couple big things in a week, to engage with your audience.

A way to build Know, Like, and Trust with people is to give value and create value-based content to where you become the person that people listen to, that people follow. They start to take your advice, they start to get results.

What are you doing to grow the Know, Like, and Trust with the people that you're connecting with?

A Skeletal DMO: Promotion

The next thing to include in your skeletal DMO is that you’re working on promoting to your audience, whether this be through ads or a live or through micro content. It can be through posts, it can be through enrollment conversations.

Get into conversations with people about your business or get people into conversations with your team!

It's all about promotion.

If you aren't having conversations about your Network Marketing business, it isn't going to be growing through the holidays. It's not going to be growing throughout the year.

So what are you doing to grow?

What are you doing to engage?

And what are you doing to promote every single day?

That is a skeletal DMO.

And if you can just focus on your skeletal DMO over the next two weeks, you're not going to lose momentum.

You're going to continue to be consistent and boost your algorithms on all the social media platforms.

You're going to continue to grow the Know, Like and Trust with people so that when you really want to go hard and promote in January and February and beyond, you didn't lose any momentum because you stopped working your business.

And at the same time, you're able to have a little bit of that balance so that you have time with the people that matter to you most.

We hope you got some value and can implement this during the holidays.

Are you tired, exhausted, wanting to take the two weeks off and spend it with your family? Listen, I get you, and in this video I’m gonna be giving you my number one tip to being able to consti to stay consistent and build momentum throughout the year without sacrificing this precious time. Because it is the last two weeks of the year, and chances are there’s work parties, there’s family parties, your kids are getting out of school. There’s a lot of time that you wanna spend with those that you love. But if, if you’re having to focus on, you know, two, three hours a day building your business, sometimes it’s not always doable. So in this video, I’m giving you my best tip to continue to be consistent, to continue building momentum so that you can rock 2023 and into the new year. All right? So if we’re meeting for the first time, my name is Carrie Hiam.

I am one of the co-founders of Beach Boss Influencers and at Beach Bus Influencers, we help network marketers make more money and less time leveraging automation and social media. And one of the things that I used to do in growing my business, when it would come to this time of the year, I would always like shut down, take a break. I wanted to spend time with my family. And where there’s nothing wrong with that. I did find myself having to kind of rebuild momentum when I started growing my business again in January. And I had leaders that I looked up to at the time that they were just like, don’t stop working your business. Don’t stop hustling. You’re gonna miss momentum. Keep sending, you know, the copy and paste messages. You better be messaging 50 people a day, right? Like they were really like gung ho about you continuing to like run and push during this time.

And honestly, I started to get to where there was one year in particular where that was me. I missed some, some Christmas parties. I missed, uh, some, you know, time with my kids. They weren’t at a, like, they weren’t in school age at the time, but it’s like Christmas time, right? It’s those memories that you don’t wanna miss. I mean, there was times where I was watching my children grow up through my cell phone because I was leaving them with grandparents and babysitters and stuff while I was trying to grow my team. And I started to resent my business. And not only that, but my kids hated every time I left, my kids started to resent this business. And I hear this happening all the time. You have this dream, you have the desire to build this thing to the top, but how do you find the balance and still still build the momentum without sacrificing, you know, the parties and wanting to just snuggle with your kids on the couch during the next, you know, week and a half to two weeks before we get into January?

I know for me, my kids are outta school. I’ve got dance recitals, Christmas parties, Christmas programs, like it’s been nonstop for the last seven days. And it, it just continues, you know, throughout the rest of the year. And I wanna be able to spend time with my kids. And so I started doing this one thing, and this one thing has helped me to continue to be consistent in my business. And consistency is really that key to growing and building momentum. And that number one thing that I focus on that I’ve started teaching my team to focus on so that they don’t miss out on these precious moments is having a skeletal dmo. So what is that? What exactly is a skeletal dmo? So a DMO is your daily mode of operation or your daily method of operation, and that’s the things that you’re doing every single day to grow your business, right?

Or consistently to grow your business. I started implementing a skeletal DMO for these times of the year when I am not able to be 100% focused and put 40 hours a week into my business, right? I mean, it’s the time of the year where honestly, I don’t even wanna put 10 weeks, I mean 10 hours a day, uh, a week inside of my business, right? Like, you wanna be able to spend this time with those that matter to you most. I mean, it’s Christmas time, right? We don’t wanna resent our business. We wanna love our business, and we, we want our family to love our business and our family not to resent our business, but we still have to be consistent. So a skeletal DMO is like the minimum, what is the absolute minimum that you have to do, uh, each day to grow your business?

And the cool thing about a skeletal dmo is it doesn’t even necessarily have to be every single day. What are you doing consistently each week? Like, what are the, the non-negotiables? These are, this is what I’m gonna focus on, um, and I’m gonna make sure that this is done before the end of the week so that you’re able to shuffle and move things in your business where you have more time to focus, um, on your business. So an example, one of the things that’s in my skeletal DMO is I need a way to grow, like, to focus on growing an audience, right? So that might be working on ads, it might be working on copy, it’s gonna be working on things that are gonna get new eyeballs on me, right? Ways that I’m growing my audience. And so, you know, a few of ways that you can be doing this.

It could be, you know, connecting with people in groups. It could be doing a real or a TikTok, right? Little micro content that can be pushed out to new people. These are, that’s an example. And when you do this, it doesn’t even necessarily have to be every day. Like I said, you could be doing stuff to grow your audience. Maybe you’re gonna be like, okay, it’s Monday. I’m just gonna focus, get everything that I need done to grow my audience this week, today, right? And maybe it’s your folk, you know, you’re shooting a few tos or a few reels, you know, um, maybe it’s shooting a few Facebook lives, maybe it’s doing a couple posts that you’re gonna be doing in some Facebook groups, whatever that may be. What are you doing to grow your audience? The second thing that is, like I make sure is in my skeletal dmo is I’m doing at least one thing each day or a, you know, a couple things, big things in a week to engage with my audience. So what I’m doing right now, it’s late at night, I’m batching this Facebook live right now. A way to build relationship build no, like, and trust with people, right? Give value and create value-based content to where you become that person that people listen to, that people follow, they, you know, they start to take your advice, they start to get results. How, what are you doing to grow the know, like, and trust with the people that you’re connecting with, right? So that’s the second thing. The third thing that I’m doing is I’m working on promoting my audience, promoting to my audience, whether that be through, again, ads or alive or, um, it could be through microcontent, it can be through posts, it can be whatever it is, enrollment conversations, right? I’m, I’m getting into conversations with people about my business or getting people into conversations with my team, right?

And helping them grow their business. It’s all about promotion. Because if we aren’t having conversations about our business, our business isn’t gonna be growing this week. It’s not gonna be growing throughout the, throughout the year, right? So what are we doing to grow? What are we doing to engage? And what are we doing to promote every single day? It’s like, what’s one thing, the absolute minimum viable? You can sit down and knock it out in five minutes and be done. That is a skeletal dmo. And if you can just focus on your skeletal DMO over the next two weeks, you’re not gonna lose momentum. You’re gonna continue to be consistent. You’re, you’re gonna continue to boost your algorithms on all the social media platforms. You’re gonna continue to grow the no like and trust with people so that when you really wanna like, go hard and promote in January and February and beyond, you didn’t lose any momentum because you stopped working your business.

And at the same time, you’re able to have a little bit of that balance so that you have time with the people that mattered to you most. So let me know what your favorite part of this, uh, video was. What was your biggest takeaway? Hopefully you got some value. So there is a link attached to this video, uh, depending on where you’re watching it, it could be above, below, whatever . Uh, definitely make sure that you grab that link and that link is actually gonna take you over to a pretty cool way that you can condense time. One of those things that is gonna really help shortcut your, uh, shortcut, uh, like I said, condensed time. But really when it comes to your content, and I mean, I don’t know about you, but if I could have someone do.
