  • What Is “Audience Automation”™? The Ultimate Guide to Building a Lead-Generating Machine

What Is “Audience Automation”™? The Ultimate Guide to Building a Lead-Generating Machine

    Table of Contents

Have you ever felt completely exhausted from all the manual work it takes to grow your network marketing business?

The constant messaging, following up, and hearing “no” over and over again can wear anyone out. What if, instead of chasing leads, you had a system that brought them to you—people who already wanted what you’re offering? That’s exactly what “Audience Automation”™ can do.

Say Goodbye to Exhausting, Manual Prospecting

Think about what your days currently look like—making lists, sending one-on-one messages, inviting people to events, and following up over and over. It’s a lot of effort with little return, right?

The problem with this old-school method is you’re reaching out to people who may not even be interested. This is where the magic of “Audience Automation”™ comes in, freeing you from manual labor by focusing on the right people.

When Cari Higham discovered “Audience Automation”™ back in 2016, she knew it would change the game. Instead of chasing down uninterested people, she shifted her focus to growing an audience of people who were already looking for her. No more random cold messages.

No more chasing friends and family. Just the right people showing up, ready to take action.

    So, What is “Audience Automation”™?

“Audience Automation”™ stops the long, exhausting process of one-on-one prospecting and turns it into a system that does the work for you.

By leveraging automation tools, you no longer have to manually seek out each prospect. The system finds them for you, connects you with the right people, and leads them down a path where they naturally want to work with you or buy from you.

Instead of sending 50 cold messages and hearing silence, imagine waking up to messages from people who are asking you for more information. These are the people who are already business-minded, looking for your solutions, and ready to take action.

3 Key Ingredients to “Audience Automation”™

    1. Use AI to Find Your Perfect Prospects

Instead of wasting time on people who aren’t interested, “Audience Automation”™ uses AI to target the perfect prospects for you.

The AI identifies people who are already engaging with similar content or looking for solutions in your niche. It brings these qualified leads directly to you, so you can stop guessing and start connecting with people who actually want what you’re offering.

    2. Set Up Funnels that Work While You Sleep

Imagine having a system that works for you 24/7. Funnels are the backbone of “Audience Automation”™. Once prospects are targeted, your automated funnel steps in to nurture and convert them.

Whether you’re out with family or fast asleep, your funnel is delivering information, answering questions, and guiding prospects toward making a decision. No more waking up to missed opportunities—wake up to leads and sales instead.

    3. Automate Follow-Ups with Emails that Build Relationships

Following up manually with every single person is not only time-consuming but often ineffective.

With “Audience Automation”™, automated email sequences do the relationship-building for you. These emails nurture your leads, keeping you top of mind while guiding them to take action. By the time they’re ready to buy or join, they feel like they already know and trust you.

Why It Works: Talking to the Right People

Cari shared an important truth during her training: if you’re tired of rejection, it’s because you’re talking to the wrong people.

“Audience Automation”™ is designed to connect you with the right people—those who don’t need convincing, don’t have objections, and are already holding their credit cards, ready to buy. These are the people who chase you down, not the other way around.

The beauty of this system is that it’s fully automated.

No more 50 reach-outs a day. No more rejection. No more awkward grocery store run-ins with people you’ve already pitched. You get to focus on growing your business with excitement, knowing that the right people are lining up to work with you.

    Ready to Automate Your Audience?

Imagine how it would feel to wake up every day to new leads, sales, and team members, all without having to chase anyone down. “Audience Automation”™ takes the stress and rejection out of growing your business and replaces it with a system that brings the right people to you.

    What You Focus on Grows

If you’ve ever wondered why some people seem to effortlessly succeed while others struggle, it often comes down to their mindset and what they choose to focus on.

This is where the power of focus comes into play—what you focus on grows.

Think about the law of attraction.

It’s a simple idea: whatever you focus on expands.

This applies to your business too.

When you focus on positive outcomes and specific goals, like building relationships, generating leads, or increasing sales, you’re more likely to see progress in those areas.

Take your bank account as an example.

If you’re not paying attention to it and just swiping your card mindlessly, your money disappears quickly, right?

Before you know it, it’s gone, and you’re left wondering, “What happened?”

The same thing applies to your business.

If you’re not paying attention and taking action, it won’t grow.

In our Beach Boss Influencers Academy program, we’ve seen this firsthand with our students.

They often say, “Where have you been all my life?” when they start using our daily mode of operation.

It’s not magic, but when you focus on the right actions every day, your business grows.

By following consistent steps daily, their efforts start to compound, leading to real, tangible results.

One common mistake we see is people starting and stopping.

It’s like putting money into an account with the plan to leave it for ten years, but pulling it out after one.

You miss out on the growth you would’ve had.

The same goes for your business—if you stop too soon, you miss out on the results.

Focused, consistent action is what leads to growth.

Consistency and a Growth Mindset are Key

To succeed in network marketing, you have to focus on the actions that will move the needle in your business.

If you’re just treating it like a hobby, that’s fine, but if you’re aiming for “fire your upline” money, you’ve got to get specific and stay focused on what truly matters.

Consistency is a game changer here.

You can’t dabble and expect results—you need to be committed to your daily actions and trust that over time, they will compound.

Mindset plays an equally important role in your success.

We tell our students all the time that your mindset will determine how far you go, not just in network marketing but in all areas of life.

There’s a big difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset.

A growth mindset means you believe your abilities can improve with effort, and you’re open to new possibilities.

On the other hand, a fixed mindset assumes your abilities are set in stone, making it harder to adapt when challenges arise.

In network marketing, a growth mindset helps you overcome obstacles because you’re willing to find solutions instead of bulldozing through problems.

Often, what seems like a mountain is just a pebble when you have the right perspective.

Your mindset also influences your behavior—whether you’ll persevere or react negatively to setbacks.

We all have limiting beliefs, but you can reframe those negative thoughts.

Instead of thinking, “I’m not good enough,” try, “I’m not good at this yet, but I can improve by focusing on my training.”

Small mindset shifts like these are powerful and will help you stay consistent in your actions, which leads to long-term success.

Set Big Goals and Visualize Success

One of the biggest obstacles many network marketers face is a lack of clear direction.

Most of the time, people don’t know exactly what they want, so they end up working toward something that doesn’t align with their real goals.

If you want to reach a specific destination, you’ve got to know where you’re going.

It’s like booking a flight to New York but getting on a plane to Seattle—you’re heading in the wrong direction!

The key is to set clear, actionable goals.

Whether you want to grow your business to a 6-figure income or even become a billionaire, the first step is deciding exactly what that goal looks like.

But setting a goal isn’t enough—you’ve got to visualize yourself achieving it.

Visualization is a powerful tool that can help retrain your brain to believe success is possible.

A great way to keep your goals front and center is by creating a vision board on Pinterest with images that represent what you want to achieve in your business.

Daily affirmations are also a powerful way to keep your mindset in check.

Replace any negative self-talk with positive “I am” statements, such as, “I am a successful network marketer,” or “I attract opportunities and achieve my goals.”

When you consistently focus on positive outcomes and take actionable steps toward your goals, you’ll build a mindset that can overcome challenges and push your business toward success.

Dream big, visualize your success, and start taking the steps needed to make it happen!

    Celebrate Wins and Build Resilience

One of the best ways to keep your mindset strong, even when things aren’t going perfectly, is to celebrate your small wins.

It’s easy to get caught up in always focusing on the next goal, but recognizing your progress is key to staying motivated.

Brandy and Cari struggled with this at first because they are so goal-driven.

They burnt themselves out by constantly running after the next milestone without stopping to appreciate the steps they’d already taken.

When you celebrate those small victories, you give yourself the proof that you’re making progress.

It’s like showing your brain that you’re not an imposter—you’re growing and moving forward.

This creates positive reinforcement, helping you push through when times get tough.

Rewarding yourself can be as simple as treating yourself to something small.

In the early days of Cari’s business, she didn’t have much money.

She was living in her mother-in-law’s basement with two boys in diapers, so rewards were small, like a 25-cent ice cream cone.

    But it worked!

It kept her and her kids motivated.

They knew that if mom hit her goals, they’d get a special treat.

As you start to see bigger wins, make those rewards bigger.

When you reach significant milestones, celebrate them in a way that feels meaningful—whether it’s a special family trip or something else that keeps you and your family excited.

    Developing resilience is also crucial.

There will be setbacks, but instead of seeing them as failures, view them as learning opportunities.

Stay committed to your goals by remembering why you started.

And always be open to new strategies—things are constantly changing, and evolving with those changes is what will keep you on track for long-term success.

  • Maximizing Your MLM Compensation Plans

    Maximizing Your MLM Compensation Plans

    Table of Contents

What is the best way to maximize your MLM earnings?

    Well, that depends.

If you want to know how to be successful in an MLM, you need to really understand your company’s compensation plan.

Let’s take a look at the different types of compensation plan structures and the MLM strategies that could work for each.

    Maximizing Your MLM Compensation Plans
    (freepik/Freepik)

    Types of MLM Compensation Plans

While companies may have their own unique spin on these compensation plans, here is the gist of each of the different types of compensation plans.

    Binary Plan

Many MLM companies began by using a binary compensation plan.

You start as a new tree.

You can have two direct recruits.

They can each branch off and have their own two recruits.

One leg will inevitably earn more than the other over the course of a month.

Your lesser leg determines your commission.

This encourages you to work with both sides of your tree, and it promotes teamwork.

    Unilevel Plan

Under a unilevel plan, your growth is unlimited.

You can sponsor as many recruits in your first level as you want.

They can sponsor as many recruits as they want, too.

Your growth width can go as wide as you can make it.

You earn a percentage of sales from your first and second levels.

The downside is that it can be difficult to grow your own wealth from this without a large network of recruits ready to sign up under you.

You might find it hard to keep track of everyone in your organization as well. An MLM tracking software can be your friend here.

    Matrix Plan

A matrix compensation plan is a more narrow version of the unilevel plan.

Instead of encouraging wider growth, the company limits the number of recruits on your direct downlines for each level.

After someone has a certain number of recruits, they break off and form their own team.

Unlike the unilevel plan, compensation comes from all levels underneath you.

So, even though you are limited in how wide you can go, you are unlimited in your path down.

This makes it much quicker to start accumulating profit since those in your downline can continue to help build up your downline.

    Breakaway Plan

You can benefit from a breakaway plan if you time it right.

When you start building your own organization, you earn a commission off of your downline as well as your downline’s downline.

When someone in your downline breaks off to become their own organization, their downline stays with you.

A stairstep breakaway plan is very similar to a breakaway plan.

The only difference is that you can step up to higher levels of commission the more people you sponsor.

    Hybrid Plan

A hybrid compensation plan is a combination of any of the other types of compensation plans.

    Strategies by Plan

Different plans can have different pros and cons.

If your goal is to earn as much as you can as quickly as possible, you will need to strategize.

For compensation plans that reward you for recruiting, make that your focus.

For compensation plans where you only receive a commission on sales of your immediate downline, keep that in mind as you bring people onto your team.

    Binary Plan Strategy

If your MLM uses a binary plan, do your best to keep both legs growing.

Be strategic about where you place new recruits; you will want to keep the growth and sales as balanced as possible.

Keep an eye on how each leg is doing compared to the other. You may need to adjust your focus from time to time.

    Unilevel Plan Strategy

Direct recruits are rewarded in a unilevel strategy, so you want to focus on building a strong team.

Your income directly depends on the number of people you personally recruit.

You will want to provide thorough training and support to your recruits.

Motivate them. Recognize their accomplishments and hard work.

When they do well, you do well.

    Matrix Plan Strategy

If you are in on a matrix plan, understand where you fit.

Max out your matrix by filling in the positions and encouraging your team to do the same. This will get both you and your team members commissions and bonuses.

Once you fill your matrix, reroute your focus back to sales.

    Breakaway Plan Strategy

If you know your downline may break off to form their own organization or team, you will need to prepare for it.

Help them become a great leader. Teach them and support them so they will succeed when they do break away.

Keep supporting them even after they have broken off. Their downline still provides you with residual income, and you want to keep them encouraged.

Don’t rely too much on certain individuals and their sales for your commission.

When they break off, you’ll lose that, so plan ahead for it to make sure you still have a strong team remaining behind.

    Overall Strategy

Regardless of which plan your company uses, the general theme is that your best strategy will be to be a great leader to your recruits and your team.

    Help them set goals.

Keep track of their hard work.

Recognize the efforts they are putting in.

    Provide training and resources.

Give your team incentives to work hard.

    When they succeed, you succeed.

So, help them be their best.

  • Why Network Marketers Need a Niche

Why Network Marketers Need a Niche

    Table of Contents

You’re not going to be everyone’s cup of tea.

    And that’s just fine.

You don’t need to please everyone; you just need to find your people.

What’s the easiest way to find your people?

    In niches.

    Network Marketers Need a Niche
    (freepik/Freepik)

    What is a niche?

    Where can you find one?

How will finding niche communities be helpful to your business?

And how, exactly, do you pronounce “niche?”

You are in the right place if you have any of these questions. Buckle up; we’ve got a lot of ground to cover.

    What is a Niche?

A niche is a group of like-minded people.

The internet makes it possible for niches to gather in communities online.

Whether it is a group of readers dissecting the themes of “Where the Crawdads Sing,” movie buffs analyzing the latest Marvel casting choices, or D and D players showing off their figurines, wherever there’s a hobby, there are people who want to talk about it.

And the internet is where they go to do that.

Individuals can belong to multiple niches.

This is why they are so valuable to you as a network marketer.

All your potential prospects are gathering together.

Once you find an applicable niche, you’ve found a gold mine.

Where Can You Find a Niche?

How can you go about finding an online niche community?

First, think about your Perfect Prospect Avatar (PPA).

Think about what makes them tick. Think about their pains, their joys, their struggles, and their triumphs.

    Think about what they love.

Think about what they do every day.

    Find those places online.

Here are some of the best places to look for niche communities:

    Social Media

Facebook groups are bursting with potential.

You can find groups on Facebook for nearly anything, from people who enjoy crunching on leaves when walking to community groups for a specific demographic area.

Remember that each group has its own rules, so before you start promoting yourself or your products, ensure you follow all group guidelines, or you’ll risk an admin kicking you out.

Network marketing on Facebook is effective, so you will want to stay active in as many applicable groups as you can.

Look for groups that target your industry or audience.

LinkedIn is another valuable social media network marketing platform.

Other apps, like Instagram or TikTok, don’t have places where communities can gather, but you can find your people through the clever use of applicable hashtags.

    Online Forums

Reddit forums and Quora spaces are the perfect space to find a group of people that have similar interests.

Look for subreddits that will be applicable to your PPA.

Your PPA might be parents of young children. Instead of looking for a subreddit just on the broad topic of parenthood, find a different way to get there.

Is there a “Bluey Parents” page?

This group of people will most likely have young children.

    Content Platforms

Spaces like YouTube and Medium can attract similar people, too.

They might not be congregating like they do in Facebook groups or individual subreddits.

However, you can bet that the comment section of Medium’s articles or YouTube’s videos is its own niche community.

Know what your target audience consumes. Find them there.

How Are Niches Helpful to Network Marketing?

Now you know what a niche is and where to find it, what does that mean for you and your business?

    Quite a bit, actually.

You can utilize niche audiences to target the exact demographic you are after.

This helps you create content specific to that niche and get it in front of the right eyes.

You can have 2 million views on a reel, but that won’t translate to sales or recruits if it’s in front of the wrong audience.

When you find your corner of the internet, you can create content that will speak directly to their pain points. You’ll have a better grasp of what kind of content they would appreciate.

    Say It

Apparently, whether you pronounce it “neesh” or “nitch,” you are correct. Both are acceptable ways to say it.

Say it with confidence, and you won’t be questioned.

    So, Whose “Tea” Are You?

You already know you’re not everyone’s cup of tea. And that’s okay.

Your job is to go out and attract the right kind of people.

Keep referring back to your PPA. Imagine them with every decision you make about your business.

When you find the niche on the internet that really resonates with you and your content, you will unlock a whole new level of possibilities for yourself.

Keep searching. You’ll find your niche. You’ll find your people.

And they will drink up because you will be their cup of tea.

The Social Media Strategy That’s Killing Your Business (And How to Stop It)

If you’re in network marketing, chances are you’ve been taught to constantly post about your products, promotions, and recruitment offers all over social media.

It’s a strategy that seems simple—get your opportunity in front of as many people as possible and the sales and recruits will come pouring in.

But here’s the reality: it’s actually damaging your business.

This method of non-stop promotional posts used to work, but not anymore.

Now, everyone’s doing it, and the result?

    It’s turning people off.

Instead of attracting customers or team members, you’re pushing them away.

    Think about it.

If your social feed is packed with product posts, hyped-up offers, and constant recruitment pitches, your audience is overwhelmed.

Scrolling through a feed filled with nothing but “buy this now!” or “join my team!” is exhausting for people.

They’ve become desensitized to these messages, and when everyone is doing it, it all starts to blend together.

Worse, it makes you look like a walking billboard, and no one wants to engage with that.

People on social media want to connect with you, not your products.

They’re thinking, “What’s in it for me?”

If all you’re doing is pushing your product, without adding value or showing who you really are, you’re not giving them a reason to stick around.

The constant pitch isn’t building relationships—it’s repelling them.

    So, what’s the fix?

Instead of focusing solely on promoting your products, shift your strategy.

Start sharing the benefits of what you offer, who you are as a person, and how you add value to your audience’s life.

This small change will build trust, engage your followers, and ultimately grow your business without scaring people away.

Why Being a Walking Billboard Isn’t the Answer

Let’s get real: Constantly posting about your products, promotions, or recruitment pitches on social media is doing more harm than good.

And trust us, we’ve been there.

In the early days of our business, we were all guilty of this.

At first, we did see some traction—our family and friends would like and comment on our posts, especially when it was about our personal lives.

But the moment we started shifting to nonstop product promotions, the engagement dropped off.

    Sound familiar?

It’s like you post something about your latest 25% off sale, and instead of comments, you get crickets.

You’ve gone from sharing your life and building connections to becoming a walking billboard, and people are starting to tune you out.

Here’s the problem: that strategy, which used to work back in the day, has become overused and oversaturated.

Everyone is doing it now, and people are tired of seeing it.

They scroll right past, not because your product isn’t great, but because they feel like they’re being sold to all the time.

What we learned is that constantly pushing your products without building real relationships is actually repelling people.

It’s not about whether or not your product is good; it’s about how you’re presenting it.

People want to connect with YOU, not just your promotions.

And that’s when we shifted our approach to what we call “Influence Marketing.”

Instead of bombarding people with pitches, we focused on showing up authentically, sharing value, and connecting with strangers who resonated with our message.

Those strangers became our customers and team members, not our family and friends.

    The bottom line?

Being a walking billboard is old news.

To grow your business, you’ve got to build connections and offer value—not just sales pitches.

The Truth About Why People Are Ignoring You (Hint: It’s Not Your Product)

Let’s get real—if you’re constantly promoting your products on social media and wondering why no one’s engaging, it’s not because your product is bad.

It’s because people are tired of being bombarded with sales pitches.

And here’s the thing: modern consumers are savvier than ever.

They’re constantly surrounded by ads—on TV, on social media, everywhere—and have developed what we call “market awareness.”

This means people can spot a sales pitch from a mile away, and guess what?

They’ve learned to tune it out.

Think about it like this: back in the day, if you wanted a beer, you’d just walk into a bar and order one.

There wasn’t much competition, and no one needed fancy ads to get your attention.

    But now?

Companies like Coors Light spend millions on 30-second Super Bowl ads, trying to convince people to choose their beer over all the others.

    Why?

Because today’s consumers need more than just a product—they want a connection.

So what does that mean for you?

It means that simply throwing your product in people’s faces won’t work anymore.

    You need to build trust.

You need to focus on building relationships.

People buy from those they know, like, and trust—not from faceless salespeople who are just trying to make a buck.

One of the best ways to do this is by being authentic.

Share your personal story, comment on other people’s posts, and genuinely engage.

It’s not about the sales pitch; it’s about being a real person.

When people see you’re more than just a walking billboard, they’ll be much more likely to trust you—and ultimately, buy from you.

From Spammy to Savvy: The Secret to Growing Your Business with Influence

Now that we’ve covered what doesn’t work, let’s talk about what does.

You still need social media to grow your business, but you’ve got to do it the right way.

    The first step?

Create content that educates and inspires.

Instead of just posting about your product all the time, share tips on how to use it, success stories, and testimonials.

Stories are the most powerful way to connect with your audience.

    Engagement is also key.

Get people involved by asking questions, running polls, or hosting Q&A sessions.

People love to share their opinions, so take advantage of that!

When you create interactive content, you build stronger relationships and foster trust.

And the biggest piece of advice?

    Be authentic.

Don’t try to be something you’re not—people can spot fake a mile away.

You don’t need to rent a flashy car or stay at a fancy Airbnb to impress people.

Instead, share your real-life experiences, the ups and downs, and what’s going on in your business.

People love following someone they can relate to, so let them see the real you.

Use social proof like testimonials and user-generated content to build credibility, but don’t stress if you don’t have a massive transformation story to share.

Borrow stories from your team, your company, or events you attend.

Finally, experiment with different types of content—videos, infographics, interactive posts—and test what works best for your audience.

Approach your strategy like a scientist, tweaking it along the way based on what gets results.

Remember, growing your audience is about nurturing those relationships first and promoting later.

This is how you move from spammy to savvy and grow your business with real influence.

    Getting Started in Network Marketing

Cari’s journey into network marketing didn’t start like you might expect.

In fact, she was one of those people who swore she would never get involved.

Growing up, she saw firsthand how network marketing could take over people’s lives, and as a child, it left a lasting impression.

She had always been the skeptical spouse, the one saying, “I’ll never do one of those things.”

But life has a way of shifting perspectives.

When her husband was laid off for the second time, their financial situation hit rock bottom.

Cari quickly realized that something had to change.

Despite her initial resistance, network marketing started to look like the answer to their problems.

Her husband even said, “I know you said you’d never do this, but maybe this is exactly what we need to turn our lives around.”

And that’s when everything clicked for her.

Cari officially began her network marketing journey in 2013, but due to tight finances, she couldn’t afford to enroll right away.

Determined to create a better future for her family, she did something drastic—she sold her kitchen cabinets just to raise the money to get started!

That moment marked the true beginning of her network marketing career.

At the time, Cari was tired of being broke.

Simple things, like grocery shopping, felt like constant reminders of her financial struggles.

She would carefully pick out the cheapest cut of meat just to save a few cents.

That was the moment she realized she was meant for more, that she could build something better for her family.

This burning desire for change fueled her drive to start in network marketing, despite all the doubts and fears she had initially held onto.

It was the first step on a journey that would completely transform her life.

    Early Struggles and Realizations

Maybe you’ve heard the same thing: just find two people, and they’ll find two people, and the process will continue.

You’ll have a massive downline in no time, right?

But the reality was very different for Cari.

Six months into the business, she had recruited exactly zero people—no customers, no distributors.

The success she had imagined seemed so far away, and she quickly realized that building a network marketing business wasn’t as easy as she thought.

Despite these setbacks, Cari still had the desire to make it work.

She decided to reach out to her upline for advice.

“Mr. Upline, this isn’t working. What do I need to do to be successful?”

    His response?

“You’re not doing anything wrong. You just need to talk to the right people. You need to go where the people are.”

This advice, while simple, wasn’t exactly easy for Cari.

Living in a tiny town in the middle of Utah, she often joked that there were more cows than people around.

The small-town life made it challenging to find the “right people,” but Cari knew she had to step out of her comfort zone and figure out how to find people who were truly interested.

This was just the beginning of her realization that building a successful business takes more than following a simple formula—it takes strategy, persistence, and a willingness to adapt.

    Realization and Learning New Strategies

There comes a point in every network marketer’s journey when you realize something has to change.

For Cari, that moment came when she was sitting at a company event, completely exhausted.

After years of doing everything by the book and still not getting the results she wanted, she told her husband, “I can’t keep doing this. I can’t keep leaving my kids.”

Then, at the event, Cari watched as a woman was recognized for bringing in over 100,000 points of volume in just 19 days.

Meanwhile, Carrie had only managed nine points.

    It was a wake-up call.

She thought, “what the heck is she doing that I’m not?”

Cari had this gut feeling that she was missing something — that there was a secret, an untold strategy that others were using to achieve success.

Determined to figure it out, Cari took matters into her own hands.

She started “stalking” this successful woman’s social media, website, and every piece of content she could find.

What she discovered was shocking — the woman was building her business completely differently from the advice Cari’s upline had given her.

When she brought the idea of trying this new approach to her upline, they told her it wouldn’t work.

But Cari had seen the results with her own eyes, and she wasn’t about to let that advice hold her back.

She thought, Well, I’m going to show you.

After years of trial and error, not just for Cari but all us Beaches, we developed a simple, duplicatable three-step formula.

From the time we’re small, everyone loves a good story. Whether it’s the three little pigs at bedtime or the underdog Olympic athlete who has made their gold-medal dream a reality on a global stage, stories really capture us. You can use the tool of storytelling to reach the hearts of your prospects and turn them into recruits. What should you share? How should you share it? And why does it work? Stay tuned, and we will help you see the magic behind becoming a storyteller.

    Share Your Story

You don’t need to start on the dark, rainy night when you were born. Instead, let your potential recruits know what your journey looked like before you started network marketing online. Tell them the pain points you experienced. Share what made life hard for you at that time. Divulge what drew you to this particular company you’re with now. Let them see how joining this company solved your problems. Maybe you were skeptical. Maybe you had some doubts. But you stuck with it, and that got you where you are today. Let them see that you have a path similar to their own, and they will feel seen, validated, and curious.

    Share Others’ Stories

You won’t be able to relate to everyone – And that’s ok! But the larger your team grows, the more likely you’ll be able to find someone who can relate to prospects. Don’t know a single parent? You probably have one in your downline or upline who can share their story. Can’t think of a friend or relative who is a college student trying to make a few bucks in their demanding school schedule? You can probably find one on your team.

    Share Your Goals

Let your prospects know that where you are today isn’t the end of your story. Fill them in on what you plan to do in the future. Let them know your goals and dreams and how you are building your network marketing business for the future. If your prospects can look at where you are in your business and see that there’s even more room to grow, they will see their own potential and the possibilities that lay ahead of them.

    Share with Everyone

Practice sharing your story whenever you can. Don’t be pushy or obnoxious about it. Just let it naturally come up. The more you do it, the more you’ll be able to tell which parts really resonate with people.

    Why Do Stories Work?

There are a number of reasons why storytelling is such a powerful tool when it comes to network marketing. Here are a few:

    Emotional Connection

When you tell a touching story, you are evoking strong emotions in your prospects. This is even more powerful when the emotions hit close to home for them and their personal struggles. Emotional connections are also more memorable. If your story tugs at the heartstrings, your prospects are going to keep that story with them more than if you were droning on about compensation plans or commissions.

    Simplification

Rather than being bombarded with data and statistics, a story allows a prospect to see more simply how you fit the network marketing life in with your own. You can let them know what made a difference to you as you began your journey, and they will be able to see themselves in your shoes.

    Trust

When you are transparent and sincere, your recruits will know it. Be vulnerable. You will build up your credibility and create a sense of trust between you and your potential recruits. You are more likely to sign up prospects who trust you than someone who finds you questionable.

    Inspiration

Your story may inspire your potential recruit to take action in their own lives. They can see what’s possible because you made it so. Your words can help them visualize the difference this company can make for them.

    Engagement

No matter how great the opportunity you are presenting, glazed eyes will most likely come out at some point if it is just a shower of facts and statistics. Narratives make pitches interesting. Stories make listening more fun.

    Share Creatively

Gone are the days when you need to find someone in a literal elevator to give them an elevator pitch. Now, you can reach an audience of hundreds to millions of viewers simply by putting your content out there for them to see. You don’t need to become a big-time influencer. But the more people you reach, the more likely you are to achieve the goals you have set for yourself. The algorithms love creativity and consistency. So, go practice telling your story. And don’t ever stop.

  • The Power of Proximity – Why Surrounding Yourself with Successful People is a Blessing

The Power of Proximity – Why Surrounding Yourself with Successful People is a Blessing

    Table of Contents

We’re diving deep into one of the most powerful tools for your personal and professional growth—surrounding yourself with people who are smarter and more successful than you.

It might sound intimidating, but trust us, it’s a blessing in disguise!

We’ll break down why proximity to success can accelerate your journey and how to harness these connections to level up your business.

Why Hanging with High Achievers Is the Ultimate Game-Changer

At first, it might feel a little intimidating to surround yourself with people who have achieved success far beyond what you’ve experienced—but trust us, it’s not a threat.

    It’s actually a huge blessing.

Getting close to high achievers is one of the smartest moves you can make for your personal growth and business development.

Let’s dive into why this is such a game-changer.

When you’re around people who have hit levels of success that seem out of reach, something incredible happens.

Their achievements become a tangible example of what’s possible.

You start to see that if they can do it, so can you.

It’s like their success pulls you up to their level and pushes you to raise your own standards and goals.

    We’ve experienced this firsthand.

Last year, we invested a ton of money to join a mentorship community full of people way ahead of us in the business game.

    And you know what?

It was one of the best decisions we ever made.

Just being in that space opened our minds to what’s possible.

It was like our baseline for what we thought was achievable shot up overnight.

Simply by being around people who were thinking bigger, doing bigger things, we found ourselves dreaming bigger too.

When you’re in proximity to success, it stretches your mindset.

Suddenly, the things you once thought were out of reach seem totally doable.

You get inspired and motivated just by seeing what’s possible—and that’s why hanging out with high achievers is such a game-changer.

They challenge you to level up, whether you’re ready or not, and that’s where real transformation begins.

Learn, Grow, and Crush Self-Doubt by Surrounding Yourself with Winners

When you surround yourself with people who are more successful than you, something incredible happens—you learn, grow, and start crushing that self-doubt that’s been holding you back.

The truth is, successful individuals have already walked the path you’re on.

They’ve faced the same roadblocks and overcome the same challenges that may feel impossible to you right now.

By engaging with them, you gain access to their knowledge, strategies, and the mindset that helped them reach their goals.

This kind of proximity to greatness accelerates your own growth in ways you can’t imagine.

We remember the first time we walked into a mentorship event—it was intimidating, to say the least.

We felt like a tiny fish swimming in a room full of whales who had accomplished way more than we ever had.

At first, we felt out of place, like we didn’t belong.

But as we started interacting with these leaders, it became clear that they were dealing with the same kinds of struggles we were going through.

They were just further along in their journey.

    That experience was a game-changer.

What we thought was a room full of giants became a group of people who were more than willing to share their stories and help us avoid the pitfalls they had already faced.

Being around them transformed our mindset from fear to opportunity.

Instead of feeling threatened, we felt inspired.

Simply being in that room with people ahead of us in business propelled our own growth by leaps and bounds.

We didn’t just level up our skills—we gained confidence and crushed the insecurities that had been holding us back.

Trust us, surrounding yourself with winners will fast-track your success.

Keep It Real: Authentic Relationships Over Ego Any Day

One of the best things about surrounding yourself with successful people is that it’s like they can see into your future.

They’re ahead of you in the game, and it doesn’t matter if their business is the same as yours.

What matters is being around people who’ve been where you are and know how to get where you want to be.

But here’s the key—building genuine connections.

    Authenticity is everything.

We preach this all the time because it’s true.

Approaching relationships with authenticity, genuine curiosity, and a willingness to learn is way more effective than simply trying to gain something for yourself.

When you’re in a room full of people who are doing big things—multi-million dollar businesses and all—you’ll notice two types of people: those with egos and those with servant hearts.

You’ve probably met the ego-driven ones.

They puff up their chest, trying to prove something.

But then, there are servant leaders.

These are the ones who ask you about your business, genuinely listen, and even try to help you find solutions.

That’s the kind of person you want to be, and the kind of people you want to surround yourself with.

It’s all about the value exchange.

Make sure the relationship is mutually beneficial.

Whether you’re offering support, a fresh perspective, or helping them with their goals, bring something to the table.

It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture—sometimes, even small acts of support go a long way.

At the end of the day, it’s not about impressing others or fighting for attention.

It’s about forming real connections with people who genuinely care about your growth, and those are the kinds of relationships that will help you thrive.

Don’t Be Shy—Get Mentors Who Push You to Be Your Best

When it comes to building relationships with successful people, don’t hesitate to ask for mentorship or guidance.

Most successful individuals appreciate the chance to share their knowledge and help others grow.

A good place to start is by asking thoughtful questions.

Dive into meaningful conversations—this shows you’re genuinely interested in their experience and strategies, and it helps you learn on a deeper level.

Be yourself, be curious, and always look for ways to serve and bring value to the relationship.

At a recent event we attended, the leader of the group, who makes millions every month, was so open and vulnerable about the challenges he still faces in his business.

This shows that no matter how successful someone becomes, they’re still learning and growing.

Here’s the key: listening is crucial.

Active listening shows respect and allows you to absorb invaluable insights.

Don’t be afraid to attend events and conferences where successful people gather.

Whether you’re in network marketing, coaching, or any other field, entrepreneurship can be a lonely journey.

Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals creates a ripple effect, and you never know—your next business partner could be someone you meet at a conference.

Relationships are everything in this business, and networking is how you get paid.

So, get out there, engage in professional groups, and embrace the opportunities to grow and learn from the best!

Squash That Imposter Syndrome and Embrace Your Next-Level Self

Let’s be real: when you’re stepping into a room full of successful people, it’s easy to feel a bit out of place.

You might start wondering, “Am I good enough to be here?” or “Who am I to think I belong in this space?”

This is imposter syndrome creeping in—and trust us, we’ve all been there!

But here’s the thing: most successful people aren’t sitting there judging you.

They’re more focused on sharing their knowledge and experiences to help others grow.

When you feel that sense of inadequacy, recognize that it’s just your ego talking.

You’ve already done something incredible just by wanting to enter that room, to learn and grow.

That desire alone sets you apart from most people who are content staying in their comfort zone.

Next time imposter syndrome hits, say, “Thank you,” and walk into that room anyway.

The truth is, everyone starts somewhere, and the people in that space are usually excited to connect and share their journey.

You have value to bring, no matter where you are in your business.

Adopting a growth mindset will take you even further.

Instead of focusing on perfection, embrace the opportunity to learn from challenges.

Celebrate your progress, no matter how small it seems.

Surrounding yourself with successful, like-minded individuals is a key part of achieving your goals, so make sure you’re in an environment that encourages your growth.

And remember, here at Beach Boss Influencers, we’ve created a community where it doesn’t matter what company you’re in or how long you’ve been at this.

We’re here to uplift you, challenge you, and push you to be your best self.

So step up, embrace the growth, and squash that imposter syndrome for good!

9 Ways to Build Credibility and Trust in Network Marketing

    Table of Contents

If a stranger stopped you on the street and told you to close your eyes and open your mouth, would you do it?

Would you be less hesitant if it was your best friend who asked you to be vulnerable to whatever they placed on your tongue?

Build Credibility and Trust in Network Marketing
    (katemangostar/freepik)

Two people asked you to do the same thing, but one feels way more cringe than the other. The difference between these two scenarios is trust.

Building credibility and trust is crucial when you’re learning how to build a network marketing business, because it directly impacts your ability to attract and retain customers, recruit new team members, and ultimately achieve success.

While you begin your network marketing life, here are some effective strategies to build credibility and trust with your customers:

    1. Educate Yourself and Your Audience

Learn everything you can about your products, services, company, and the network marketing industry. Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices.

People are going to trust you if you’re the one who always has all the answers.

Being well-informed helps you answer questions confidently and provide valuable insights.

    2. Leverage Personal Experience

It’s easier to trust something that someone is selling if you know they use it and love it themselves.

Share your personal experiences with the product or service. Use testimonials, before-and-after stories, or personal success stories to illustrate the benefits.

Personal experiences resonate more with people than generic claims. They show authenticity and help potential customers and recruits relate to your journey.

    3. Build Genuine Relationships

Relationships are at the heart of network marketing.

Focus on building meaningful relationships rather than just pushing sales or recruitment. Engage with people through social media, networking events, and community activities.

Genuine connections foster trust and loyalty. People are more likely to buy from or join someone they feel they have a real relationship with.

    4. Offer Value First

People generally don’t enjoy the feeling of someone selling something to them.

So, don’t let that be all you have to offer.

Provide valuable content, such as tips, advice, or helpful resources, without immediately asking for something in return. This could be through blog posts, videos, or social media posts.

Offering value establishes you as an expert and a generous contributor.

It builds goodwill and makes people more open to your recommendations and offers.

    5. Be Transparent and Honest

One way to immediately become untrustworthy is to be dishonest or even dip your toes in a gray area.

    So, do the opposite.

People love it when others are real with them.

Be upfront about the costs, commitments, and potential outcomes of joining your network marketing business or purchasing products. Avoid making exaggerated claims or promises.

Transparency fosters trust and reduces the risk of misunderstandings or disappointments.

Honest communication helps in building a long-term relationship based on mutual respect.

    6. Show Consistency and Reliability

To really show your reliability, you need to continue to show up.

We all have that friend who takes three to five business days to respond to a text. It’s easy to brand them as flakes when they aren’t bothered to communicate consistently.

Be consistent in your messaging, follow through on your promises, and maintain regular communication with your network.

Consistency also applies to your branding and online presence.

Consistency builds trust by demonstrating reliability and professionalism. It reassures people that they can depend on you and your business.

    7. Engage in Active Listening

Listen carefully to your prospects’ and team members’ needs, concerns, and feedback.

Tailor your responses and actions based on what you hear.

Active listening shows that you value others’ opinions and needs, which builds rapport and trust. It also helps you address concerns effectively and provide tailored solutions.

    8. Seek and Share Testimonials

As much as our parents tried to warn us about peer pressure, we are still pretty influenced by it.

Seeing that everyone else seems to be loving a new product might pique your interest.

Collect and share testimonials from satisfied customers or team members. Request testimonials and reviews that highlight positive experiences with your products or services.

Testimonials from others provide social proof and add credibility. They reassure prospects that your offerings are valuable and trustworthy.

    9. Maintain Professionalism

Present yourself professionally in all interactions, whether online or offline. This includes your appearance, communication style, and handling of challenges.

Professionalism conveys competence and respect. It helps establish you as a serious and trustworthy businessperson.

You don’t need to be perfect or sacrifice your authenticity. Maintain a certain level of sophistication in your interactions, and you will be considered more credible.

Bonus Tip: Be Patient and Persistent

Understand that building credibility and trust takes time.

Be patient and persistent in your efforts.

Building trust is a gradual process. Consistent effort and a positive attitude help you overcome challenges and establish a solid reputation.

Credibility and trust are absolutely fundamental in a business plan for network marketing because they influence how people see you and your products.

If you follow these tips, you may begin to establish yourself as a credible and trustworthy professional, one that people can turn to when they are in need.

The Problem with Traditional Network Marketing Posts

When it comes to boosting sales in network marketing, one of the biggest struggles many face is hearing “crickets” after posting about products on social media.

You know the feeling – it’s like being outside on a quiet night with nothing but the sound of crickets in the background.

If that sounds familiar, this is for you!

A big part of the problem lies in the way network marketers are traditionally taught to post on social media.

The common advice is to continuously promote your product or opportunity, pushing it out there again and again.

For top leaders with massive audiences, this can work.

They have loyal fans who are engaged with everything they post, so when they promote something, it resonates.

But for the average network marketer, this approach simply doesn’t deliver results.

It often feels like you’re just bombarding people with ads, and let’s face it – no one likes to be constantly sold to.

Think about how you react when you see an endless stream of advertisements.

    If you’re like most people, it’s a major turn-off.

Posting non-stop about your products on social media without offering anything more doesn’t build connections.

Instead, it can push people away, leaving them disengaged and uninterested.

The focus becomes all about the sale, with little room for authentic connection.

And that’s where many network marketers are missing the mark – relying on a strategy that works for a small group but leaves the majority struggling to get any traction.

Social Media Should Be About Connection, Not Sales

Have you ever been watching your favorite show, and then the commercials hit?

Suddenly, you’re making a cup of coffee, scrolling on your phone, or fast-forwarding through the ads if you’re lucky enough to have it recorded.

That’s exactly what happens when your social media feed is full of nothing but product posts—it becomes easy to ignore.

When all you post is promotional content, you’re missing a huge opportunity.

Social media is about letting people into your life and building a relationship with them.

The saying goes, “People do business with people they know, like, and trust.”

If all you’re doing is posting about your products or business, there’s no room for that personal connection to grow.

This is where “commission breath” comes in.

If your audience feels like every post is about making a sale, it’s off-putting.

You’re constantly searching for more sales, but your audience sees right through it.

Eventually, they’ll become desensitized to your content and start tuning you out.

So, how do you stand out in a crowded social media feed? How do you stop hearing crickets every time you post?

Instead of focusing on promotion, focus on connection.

Let people get to know the real you.

Share your story, your life, and the things you’re passionate about.

When your audience feels like they can relate to you, they’re much more likely to trust you—and trust leads to business.

It’s time to rethink your approach.

By building relationships and sharing authentically, you’ll not only avoid commission breath, but you’ll also create a community of people who want to engage with you and, eventually, buy from you.

Shifting to Relationship Marketing and the Importance of Adapting to Trends

So, how do you stand out in the noisy world of social media?

A big part of succeeding on these platforms, especially when you’re trying to grow your network marketing business, is understanding the shifts in marketing trends.

Around 2017 or 2018, there was a noticeable shift in how people were engaging with businesses online.

The focus moved away from direct selling and started leaning towards building relationships and providing value.

At Beach Boss Influencers, we’ve been teaching this approach since we launched in 2020, but even before then, we were using these same strategies to grow our own personal brands.

We saw the changes happening in social media and realized that if we wanted to continue to grow, we needed to adapt.

And that’s the key here: social media is always evolving.

What worked a few months ago might not work today, and it’s important to stay on top of those changes.

One of the biggest shifts we’ve noticed is that consumers now prefer authentic interactions over traditional sales pitches.

No one goes online hoping to be sold to, but they do go online to buy – and they prefer to buy from people they like, know, and trust.

That’s why content marketing, storytelling, and video marketing are now essential tools for engaging your audience.

If you’re not using storytelling or focusing on building relationships in your marketing strategy, you’re leaving a massive chunk of potential business on the table.

Networking is about building trust and providing value, not pushing products in DMs.

To keep growing your business, it’s vital to pay attention to trends, adapt to what’s working, and always focus on building real, lasting relationships with your audience.

Key Strategies to Stand Out on Social Media

One of the first things we teach our students is to stop posting about their products on social media.

This can be confusing and frustrating at first, especially if you’ve been told to promote your products constantly.

Traditional network marketing teaches that you should post about your product multiple times a day, showing off the bottle and sharing branded company photos.

While this works for top leaders with large audiences, it doesn’t work as well for those just starting out or without a large, loyal following.

So, what should you do instead?

It’s not about hiding the fact that you’re selling something—it’s about changing your approach.

Social media is meant to be social, not a platform for constant advertisements.

People don’t log onto Instagram or TikTok to buy insurance, they go on to socialize, learn something new, or be entertained.

That means you need to create content that fits into those expectations.

Focus on being social, engaging, and entertaining, while still letting people know you have something to offer.

Remember, people do business with those they know, like, and trust, so building relationships is crucial.

It’s easier than ever to do this on social media.

Start small by engaging with people’s posts, leaving thoughtful comments, and showing genuine interest in them.

Another strategy we love is our Customer Blitz.

It’s a revamped version of the old Facebook party.

Instead of making people feel awkward about joining, our Customer Blitz events are fun, engaging, and interactive, with participants winning prizes and bringing friends.

It’s an effective way to boost sales without feeling pushy or salesy.

By focusing on connection, engagement, and providing value, you’ll find that social media can be a powerful tool to grow your business without relying solely on product posts.

Success Stories and Proof of Concept

At Beach Boss Influencers, we’ve seen incredible transformations in our community.

Take one of our students Tina, for example.

When she first joined us, she was ranked around number 15 in her company.

She started from scratch, downloading our free lead magnet. After seeing the value, she joined our organic program and later moved up to our high-level program, 7-Figure Influencer.

In less than a year, she skyrocketed to the number one spot in her company.

That’s the power of the strategies we teach!

Then there’s another of our students Corissa, who was really struggling to get her team moving.

She didn’t quite understand how to bring everything together on social media to grow her audience.

Like many of you might be thinking, Corissa thought our approach sounded “too good to be true” at first.

She took advantage of our free offer, then upgraded to our Academy program, where she learned our organic roadmap.

By following our Daily Mode of Operation (DMO) and content creation strategies step by step, Corissa’s business completely took off.

Now, Corissa earns close to five figures a month as an affiliate, and her network marketing business is thriving too.

But it wasn’t just about the strategies.

What really made the difference was shifting her mindset.

That’s something we focus on at Beach Boss Influencers—helping you grow as a leader while mastering the practical steps.

These stories show that success isn’t just about the tactics; it’s about consistently applying them and rethinking your approach.

With the right mindset and support, you can stop struggling and start seeing the same kind of results as Tina and Corissa.
